SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM & THEMES
“BIENVENUE AU 2019 CAMP AU BEAU SEJOUR”
Our fun and exciting camp helps children who are new to our program become familiar with our school, returning students practice French during the summer, and children of the community to gain unique exposure to language immersion.
ABS Summer Camp is Open for ABS Students AND Non-ABS Students age from 2 to 6 year olds.
Your child’s day will be filled with lots of exciting activities (water play, painting, sculpting with clay, building, 3D art projects, free play, sports, etc. No lunches for you to prepare! Your child will eat healthy snacks, and a delicious lunch. The menu will be posted each week. We will post how much your child ate, and if your child slept or not. It is not mandatory for children to sleep, however there is a rest time necessary for them.
IMPORTANT PICK UP POLICY: To our new families, please note our pick- up policy: If the person picking up your child(ren) is not known to us we will ask for an ID. Write down all names of people who can pick up, otherwise we will not allow child(ren) to leave with them. A phone call from you will not suffice. We need a written a written document.
CAMP HOURS 8:30 - 3:30 FOR DAY CAMPERS. 8:00 - 5:00 FOR CAMPERS ENROLLED IN EXTENDED CARE.

11:45-12:30 PM: BATHROOM/LUNCH
12:30-1:00 PM: BATHROOM/YOGA/STORY
1:00-3:00 PM: NAP /QUIET TIME
2:30-3:30 PM: INSIDE/OUTSIDE ACTIVITY
3:30-3:45 PM: PICK UP TIME/DAYCARE CHILDREN GATHERER

Please note that ABS Summer Camp closes doors promptly at 5:00 pm!
2. SUMMER CAMP 2019 THEMES:
Week 1 Circus arts! July 1 - 5 NO Day CAMP July 4th
Enter the virtuosic world of clowning, tumbling, acrobatics, storytelling, object manipulation and partner balancing acts. Throughout this fun and exciting session we will work on developing motor and coordination skills, kinesthetic awareness, basic tumbling, creative movement and games as we bravely enter the world of clowns, tumble the roads of acrobats and unlock the potential of creative circus in a safe and joyous way.
Week 2 Cook like a chef July 8 - 11
Campers will cook all week long, following recipe as a team work, using different cooking tools, variety of ingredients to make delicious sweet or savory food that they will be happy to eat together after making it themselves!
Week 3 A World of instruments July 15- 19
A week of exploring, listening to, and building traditional musical instruments from all around the world. Campers will learn about different styles of music from around the world. They will develop their sense of music and practice improvisation through games, music, percussion, dance and songs. Dancing, singing, working on rhythm will be the tune of this great week together.
Week 4 Les Beaux Arts July 22 - 26
Students will explore various art techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpture, paper mâché , and much more. Drawing, painting, sculpture, tie-dye and more will be explored!
Week 5 A Day at the Beach July 29 - August 2
The beach offers a wide variety of fun and learning experiences for children! Our beach theme activities will have your campers exploring, playing, and learning about ocean, fish, sand, shells big and small, and creepy crawlies that can be found throughout a fun day at the beach!!
Week 6 Outer Space Adventures August 5 - 9
Blast of into space with us! We will bring the solar system to life. Through pictures campers will identify the sun, moon, stars and Earth. Rocket ships, astronauts and aliens that fly in UFOs will all be explored with great fun and curiosity.
Week 7 Farm Animals August 12 - 16
Farming is important for our life. Farm animals produce many things! Campers will learn how farm animals helps us. Who and how to take care farm animals. Animal babies and their families will be discovered with different animal sounds “ en Français.
